01 — Graduation project

Designed for my graduation project at MI Studio, an Amsterdam-based furniture studio, this wooden table prioritizes user-friendly self-assembly with a key focus on innovative part connections.

02 — Design

The design incorporates pure and honest connections, fitting the Japandi style. Simplicity brings tranquility to the design, and the possibility of repetition creates a sense of harmony and balance.

Rounded shapes make the design more organic, bringing a softer and more natural character. Light oak wood was chosen for its natural look and texture, matching the Japandi style.

03 — Construction

The connection method is optimal for strength without the use of screws or glue, ensuring a durable table. Using cross lap joint, seven planks are combined and strategically placed. This technique can be repeated in various sizes and the product comes with a user manual.
